Snow Days

The snow is back. I have mixed feelings about this, but here are some photos that I took while it was snowing on Saturday.

My backyard Friday night.
I like the glow from the streetlights across the field.
Jacob VOLUNTEERED to shovel snow!
Such a proud big sister moment!

Okay, now we’re on Saturday morning photos.

Anna trekking through the wild winter. I love this one.
My brother-in-law is a Steelers fan, so I just had to snap a pic. The snowflakes don’t show up as much I wish they had, but oh well.
One lady was out feeding the birds and here’s what I got.
Snow plows are such blessings!
Everyone, meet Bob. Bob, meet everyone.

The Lights

🎵 Oh, turn the lights, turn the lights down low, oh 🎵

Maybe you have to know the darkness before you can appreciate the light.

365 Days

So its a new year, and counting today, we have 365 days to be spectacular. BTW, that’s my word for the time being. Be prepared to see it often. Spectacular things happen all around us, and I can’t wait to capture some amazingly spectacular moments and share them with you. I don’t have a plan for my blog this year. I want to see it grow and would like to possibly expand Candid Camera Photography in some way. I’m not sure how I’m going to go about this, but I hope you enjoy coming along for the ride.

Remember, I’m always open to new ideas, monthly theme suggestions, and lots of feedback. Please talk to me. Tell me what you want to see. Tell me what you like and don’t like. And tell me why. Rather than the same old thing, I want this to be a spectacular year! Help me out here!

Of Darkness And Of Light

I will love the light for it shows me the way, yet I will endure the darkness for it shows me the stars.

There are darknesses in life and there are lights, and you are one of the lights.

There are different kinds of darkness. There is the darkness that frightens, the darkness that soothes, the darkness that is restful. It becomes what the bearer wishes it to be, needs it to be. It is not wholly bad or good.

It’s Sarah!!!! I think I’ve said this before, but I’ll say it again: My sisters are Amazing!!!! Usually I have to beg my sisters to do a shoot with me, but every once in a while, they ask first. And this time, like every other time, I was more than happy to oblige.

There’s something to be said for brick walls. Clean, but interesting background. The red is a fun color to work with (red is my second favorite color). In my town, there are plenty of brick walls. And abandoned, overgrown train tracks.

Anyways, I hope you enjoy these photos as much as I enjoyed taking them.
